Good-Bye!

This word was HUGE for us today!! Not only did the girls have their last day of preschool and said good-bye to their teachers and friends they have come to Love at First Baptist, but they also said Good-bye to their thumb and fingers they have sucked for years and years last night!!!!!!!!! We have been talking about them both stopping and felt even though Hannah is young, it was best to do it together with them in the same room and usually always together except for at school. We have a clear nail polish that is safe and was given to me by our dentist last fall to use that tastes horrible, but keeps their fingers/thumb out of their mouths. They knew it was horribly gross, and we talked about at the end of the school year, we were going to do it! So, Hailee, precious child, decided last night to be brave and strong and go for it! They both went to bed with only tears one time from each girl, and were asleep w/in an hour and half! I had to sit in there w/ them for a while, but they did it! So, this morning, we had a special treat at Krispy Kreme for a reward (a big reward is coming after 3 nights in a row of no sucking!) and b/c it was a special day being the last day of school!

We made some bags full of strawberries for each teacher with a "Thank you Berry Much for a great year!" tag and ribbon! These were fresh strawberries we had picked at Rudd Farms and were so delicious! The teachers were so great to us coming in during the middle of the year and we will miss them, but look forward to seeing them again in the halls next year! And by the way, we broke the news to Hailee that she will be staying at FBP in the pre-k class, that is a lot like kindergarten, and she is actually very excited..praise God! We prayed a lot about how she would accept it!
