Safety Town!!

Hailee went to Safety Town for the past 2 weeks and loved it! Brian and I both went to Safety Town in GSO when we were 6 and have such great memories from it, so we were excited she had such a great time for 2 weeks. She learned all about driving on streets, crossing the street, strangers, drugs/alcohol/smoking, EMS/Firefighters, Police Officers (they ran the program), when to call 911, appropriately taking care of animals, bus safety, and much more! They had a graduation for the children and played the Pomp and Circumstance song as they walked in and yep, this mama started crying at the sound of that song and seeing her walk in so sweetly!

 Mom-Mom came up for the event and said the graduation was done exactly the same as 30 years ago!! ;)

 In front of the "town" where they rode cars/bikes all week learning how to drive around town and follow street lights. The houses were so cute and had familiar logos on them like Chick Fil A, Library, etc.

I'm so proud of her! I have a picture in front of this same town when I was little and I'd love to find it and post it...I'll work on that ;)
