Sternberger Owls!
On August 27, Hailee had her 1st day of Kindergarten at Sternberger Elementary! I had a really hard time the night before, and shed lots of tears realizing that a HUGE chapter in my life had come to a close. That time of having my baby at home with me everyday, the time of knowing where she was and basically what she was doing most of the day, the time of knowing we could miss preschool if we wanted to spend the day together, and most of all, the time of her being in a Christ-focused, loving, nurturing preschool where she learned about Jesus and her teachers loved the Lord! There is just nothing like that. I know Sternberger is going to be a Super great place for her, and she really has been SO excited all summer to go to Kindergarten, but we all have had our reservations and sad to leave some really sweet friends/teachers behind. But, at the end of every chapter in our life, we can give God the praise He's due for all the joy that went along with that time in our life and we can look ahead at what He has in store for us in the next new chapter! I know watching her grow and learn, away from me, will push me to lean more on the Lord and trust Him more, which in turn, is the best thing that can happen! So, enough about the bittersweet parts of Kindergarten and onto the sweet little face that had a really good 1st day!
a little nervous before walking into her room...
my precious little girl on her big day!
daddy gets to take her to school every morning and she loves that!
the upstairs to her classroom!
Her teacher, Ms. Vitez showing Hailee where she will sit and helping her get started coloring!
Sweet sissy giving her a big kiss good-bye
the front of her room
Sign says, "Welcome Kindergarteners! Class of 2025!" I totally cried when I read this sign.
Her new table of sweet new friends. We were getting ready to leave and she seemed OK and ready to work! I was a mess and had to just walk out, but so THANKFUL she was not crying!!
We had a great day all taking Hailee to school together and then Brian taking a 1/2 day so we could all go pick her up together and spend the afternoon as a family! She was elated to see all of us and gave her mama the BIGGEST hug for the longest time...melt.my.heart.!! So thankful for her sweet heart and I know she's going to be the Best K student in her class! (alreadygot word her teacher told a friend she wished she had a whole class of "Hailee's!")

Wait...she has stairs in her classroom? That makes me want to go to kindergarten!
