Learning how to pull the horse left and right
For a long time, Hailee has had an obsession with Horses...she is mesmerized by them. We bought her books, and a few things that have horses on them and her grandparents in CA have contributed to that as well, but we were holding off until we felt like she was old enough to even entertain the idea of her riding (which she has asked for a while now!) After visiting Still Water Farms, we fell in love. It's so beautiful, calming, peaceful, owned by wonderful people who love the Lord, and FULL of horses! Hailee got to watch a lesson and see if it was something she wanted to do and there were even tears when we had to leave the farm. So, we booked her first lesson and I had such a peace about it because she was so excited! Her teacher said she did awesome and that Hailee was one of her best "first lessons" she had ever had-she said she learned and performed everything the first time and was not afraid at all...SO huge for my H-bird! I am in hopes that if for nothing more than a recreational hobby, it will be something that will help her with some fears and anxiety she faces. Her gentle spirit is so perfect for a horse. She is doing a week long camp next week where she will be there for 6 hours and get to ride for 2 hours a day! She couldn't be more excited and even though we are a bit apprehensive due to the cost of dealing with horses, we know that the Lord has gifted her with a love and passion for animals and are excited to see where this takes her!
