Haircut
For some time now, Hailee's hair has been driving me crazy! It was getting long, well, long for Hailee!, and So stringy! Half the time she doesnt want a bow in it or even for me to put it up and when it's down, it just looked so tangly and was all different lengths (b/c she still has lots of new hair coming in). So today, we went and got a haircut. She begged to go back to JJ Kids Cuts off of Falls of Neuse b/c she went there for her first haircut when she was 2! She talked all day about how excited she was and thought about which car she would sit in, which movie she'd get to watch, what special treat she would choose afterwards, etc. We got there, they played in the slide and playarea for a few minutes and then it was her turn. She chose the airplane to sit in, Hannah chose the fire truck and police car to sit in and watch while Hailee got her hair cut. Just as the girl was about to start cutting, Hailee freaked out and started crying...bucket tears! "I dont want my hair cut!" (over and over). I reminded her of how it didnt hurt and it would feel so nice to cut off the long hair. I had asked the girl to cut it short, possibly some layers to make it appear more full, and to make it more even. She immediately was suprised after the first cut how her hair bounced up and had so much curl to it! It's just SO fine that even a tiny bit of length adds weight to her hair, pulling the curl out :(. After a few minutes, she stopped crying, chose a Dora movie to watch, and it was over in 8 minutes! She and Hannah both got lollipops afterwards, played a little more, then we went next door and bought her 2 new bows to go with her new, cute hair!
