Today the girls and I enjoyed our Thursday at home by taking a Nature walk and compiling all the things of "Fall" we've been enjoying lately! Not only did we paint our little pumpkins last week, we came home from Mimi's with gords and professionally painted pumpkins to add to our table centerpiece! We collected acorns (lOTS!), pine cones, gumballs, and fall leaves today on our nature walk. We put them into a sensory tub and the girls played with it today, scooping them into containers. My plan was to make peanut butter, pine cone bird feeders with the girls to hang from our trees, but we apperantly threw out our bird seed when cleaning out the garage a few months back so we might have to find something new to do with those pine cones! The girls have been begging to either eat or make candy apples, so earlier this week we went and bought candy apples b/c all the ones in the candy apple kits had lots of milk in them. They got to eat them during their "movie night" (I've been trying to keep their evenings fun and entertaining with daddy being out of town so much). Hannah's face is priceless...she had it everywhere! And then tonight, I took the girls to Krispy Kreme for the 1st time!!! Hannah's allergist told me yesterday that I could give Hannah a few bites of some things with milk in them once or twice a week and see how she responds...so I wanted the best taste for my baby girl given this tiny bit of freedom into the food world! We're still moving slowly, at 3oz of whole milk to 3oz formula, but she LOVED her orange pumpkin donut she picked out all by herself!! Fall is wonderful!
