Found this in Hailee's folder and before I could ask her why she left one blank (without even taking the time to read the words), she says... "Mommy, that H word that we aren't allowed to say, you know the bad one, well I told my friend at my table we shouldn't write that word because we aren't allowed to say it at home, and so we went and told Ms. Vitez we did not want to write that word because its a bad word and she said "OK" so I didn't write it!" She was beaming when she told me, like she knew in her heart she had done the right thing and knew I'd be so proud of her. Well, proud is an understatement for this mama!! Training her heart to follow the rules and be a leader is happening!
And, then got an email from the mom who's daughter followed along with Hailee to thank me for what a great influence Hailee is to her and how they have now changed the rule in their house to not say "hate!" Never know when we can impact someone's life by being a good example!
