F-I-V-E!!!!

 

Seriously, how can my baby girl be FIVE!?!?!? I mean, she's the baby. It still seems like she was just born. She's still supposed to be learning to sit up for the first time. She's still supposed to be throwing up after every feeding. She's still supposed to be 1 running around in diapers and babbling. She's still supposed to be wearing little bubbles. She's still supposed to be so light I didnt have to work to pick her up (b/c she was that way for a LONG time!) She's supposed to be able to lay in my arms and fall fast asleep. She's still supposed to be able to yell and it be cute. She's still supposed to be at home with mommy everyday. She's still supposed to be learning to walk and tumbling and falling over and needing her mommy all.the.time!

 But, somehow, in a way I don't understand, time has passed by rapidly, and 5 years later, she is a big girl... who is extremely independent, who can fully shower and dress by herself, who can jump off the dock by herself, who can make her own lunch, who can take the dog out by herself to potty without being asked to, who is making her bed and putting her clothes away, who is writing her letters, who wants to read so badly, who longs to please and be encouraged by positive words, who loves to make silly faces, who prays faithfully every single night for a baby brother, who smiles at strangers, who plays with her baby like the most mature mama you've ever seen, who can flip on a trampoline and point her toes in ballet better than I ever could, who can pump her legs and swing by herself, who can be braver than her big sister, who can do 50 piece puzzles, who can brighten your day with her smile, who can recite bible verses & then talk back with an attitude & end up in trouble, and who can make you laugh over and over again with her spunky, sassy self!

Happy 5th birthday baby girl...no matter how big you get, you will always be my baby! I love you and am so proud of the beautiful and smart little girl you are!
