My sweet Hailee has been praying for a precious girl named Olya since I got home from a Ukraine trip I took in Jan of 2008. She was a sweet 10 year old I fell in love with and shared my love for her and my deep desire for her to be adopted with my family and even when Hannah was born, she has been hearing prayers for Olya everyday. My girls have prayed for her to be adopted and protected and loved and cared for for over 5 years... Every day. And last year, their prayer was answered through my friend whom I roomed with during our trip there in 2008!! She was going to be adopted and not just anywhere, but in Cary NC, all of an hour away from these precious girls who prayed for her a million miles away for so many years. They were going to get to see her in person and see the faithfulness of God. His timing. His ways. His provisions.
And after years of packages sent and letters mailed to Olya, she recognized me within a second when her parents surprised her I/we were coming and she RAN down the stairs with arms open wide and 15 year old voice screaming when she saw me. It was a moment I'll never forget. Praise God for His faithfulness and her parents who knew for so long she was to be theirs. This is our precious Olya, whom my girls were beyond blessed to meet...
What a sweet story! So glad you and the girls got to see your special friend so close and safe in a loving family. That is an amazing testimony to our God's love for each of His children! Thank God for answered prayers!!
