Raleigh Visit

Last Thursday we made a fast, busy visit to Raleigh to see some friends! Hailee has been REALLY missing her friends, old preschool, and old preschool teacher, so we decided to take a trip to see as many of her requested friends as possible! It was super fast, but super exhausting! We left Thursday around 1 after not sending the girls to school due to a 2 hour delay from a "dusting" of snow (ridiculous) and Hannah having a yucky cold/cough. We went to Kara's first and stayed with them Thursday night and the girls had a blast having their own sleepover with each other! ;) Of course there was plenty of dress up, babies, and princess related play amongst 4 little princess girls!

Around 10:30 on Friday am we headed to Faith Baptist Preschool to visit Hailee's old class/teacher and I wish I had my camera w/ me to capture the "embrace" between Ms. Heather and Hailee, but I didnt. Take my word for it, it was precious. She was beaming ear to ear! It was so fun to receive hugs and smiles from such familiar faces! We picked up a friend of Hailee's and headed to another friends' house for lunch and a playdate! Hailee, Hannah, Darcy and Kate had a great time eatiung lunch, decorating heart shaped cookies, and playing outside! (Kate-I'd love to have those few pics you took!) We played outside and it made me really miss our old swingset already! We then headed to our old neighborhood to pick up something from our old house (yes, it was very weird to be at someone else's house that is still our house but a house we no longer live in!) Then we went to Mycah and Caleb's for another playdate that reminded me way too much of what I missed about living in Knightdale :( Then we made our way to Caroline and Claire's house for one more session of princess play before heading home around 5:30 on Friday. Yes, that was a mistake b/c it took us 2.5 hours to get home and you would think it would have been a peaceful ride and the girls would have slept from me running them ragged all day with a sleepover the night before, but no friends, there was no sleeping in that car. only tired, cranky, whinning. But, they had a blast and loved seeing some of their besties! We'll make that trip again but probably plan to see a few less friends (and ones we didnt see this time!) each time to make the trips not so exhausting!
