Proverbs 20:12 "God gives us ears to hear and eyes to see."
Last week Hailee was learning about the 5 senses at school and each night she had a "homework" assignment to help with this learning! We included Hannah and had a blast learning about their 5 senses. We talked about listening with our ears to music, sounds, talking, TV, and animlas. We used our eyes to see all kinds of things-especially when making funny faces! Hailee got to take something from home and put inside a brown paper bag and let her friends at school reach inside without looking and feel what it was. She choose a tennis ball for her friends to feel. One night we had to gather some sort of food to send in for their "tasting party" they had on Wednesday and we decided to make goodie bags filled with a variety of hard, sweet, soft, salty items. They had a great time making these! Hailee made all 10 bags by herself and inside each was one soft, pink heart-shaped marshmellow, one circle salty pretzel, and 3 small, hard converstion hearts! We also played our usual game around the table at dinner time (mommy and daddy's way of getting our girls to eat) of seeing which foods we put in our mouth are "chewy" or "crunchy!" And of course with that game, we are using tasting and hearing!
