Over the past year, the Lord has been teaching me A LOT about being thankful, in ALL Things. To give Him the praise and thanksgiving He's due. To let go of my selfishness and realize this life is not about ME. It's about Him and His sacrifices He gave to the world so WE could Live forever. It's about teaching my children who will go on to teach their children about Grace. Grace we dont deserve but are so freely given. And in that Grace, we must CHOOSE daily, hourly, momentarily, to offer thanksgiving. In all things good and bad, hard and easy, fun and exciting, sucky and scary, to give Thanks. Reading 1,000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp has literally changed my life and outlook on things. So, here's a sneak peak of some things off of my list I'm thankful for...
7. tiny mouths to kiss and hands to hold at bedtime
8. hot cup of coffee in a quiet house
20. holding hands with my love
38. freed from being a slave to sin
66. medicines that heal the sick
79. family walks
81. old photographs
99. one red leaf on a tree filled with green and yellow leaves
129. hired painters
162. respectful children
185. matching socks
