Deals for Mommy!!

This post is not about my adorable, precious, sweet, wild and crazy little princesses, however it's about the deals their mommy has gotten this week! As you know, I love coupons and shop most weeks with them, but life is really great when Harris Teeter does Tripple Coupon week (which is now) and then Kroger, which I usually dont shop at, is having an amazing buy 8 items and they're each $1 sale!! I got 66 items at Kroger for only $31-a bunch of items in the store are "buy 8 get them all at $1 or cheaper!" You can mix and match these, so for ex. I got 6 Mots Apple juices and 2 Steamed Frozen Veggies bags (b/c I had coupons for those to make it even cheaper) and they were $1 each! But then I did buy 8 packs of Sargento and Kraft Cheeses b/c we'll use those up-and they were $1 each as well! We dont drink much soft drinks, but I figured I could stock up for cook-out's, birthday parties, etc. for this summer b/c they were $0.69 if you bought 8! I spent $23 at Harris Teeter-but $5 of that was on apples that wernt on sale nor did I have a coupon for, so really $18 for $63 worth of groceries! I have been very pleased with my shopping deals and my coupon binder has been used more this week than ever I think! It takes a lot of planning and cutting and sorting, but it's so worth it when I can stock up on food/items that will last us for a long time or get groceries for free! I also this week went to CVS and with coupons spent $17 and got $30 worth of stuff, plus received $9 worth of free coupons (ECB's) for my next trip in, so really I only spent $8 after savings for 2 packs of diapers, toothpaste, and candy for Easter! I love saving money on groceries and even though it takes a lot of time and effort to make this happen, it excites me So much-it's the little things for me!!
