A year and a 1/2

you guessed it, Hannah is 18 months and becoming more of a toddler everyday!! We had her 18 mo. appointment last Tuesday before going out of town for 5 days and it was great! She had gained back the 1/2 pound she had lost several weeks before and was up to 19 pounds!! This still does not put her on the growth chart, but her height was 32 inches and that puts her at the 50%! Her head is 20% but they are fine w/ that b/c the rest of her is not too big... ;) She talked up a storm, showed me over and over again the difference b/w outside and inside voices (of which Hailee thought was hysterical and egged her on!), put on her bloomers by herself which throughly impressed the dr., pointed out and said all of her body parts, told the dr. "tank u" over and over again, blew kisses to the whole office, etc. so the dr. was beyond pleased with her growth developmentally! We will now be going every few months to her general peads. to have weight checks instead of all the way to Moorisville to see her pead. GI. Her GI had recommended a few more tests be done b/c she still wasnt making adequate weight gains that her dr. wanted to see (sweat tests for Cystic Fibrosis, renal tests on her kidneys, and possible feeding tube if she gets to the point of not being able to gain any more weight), but none of these Brian and I, as well as her general peads., agree need to happen right now. She's doing great and even though gaining very little, she's still gaining. (well, today we went in b/c she's been coughing for 4 days and spiked a really high fever yesterday through last night and into this morning-even on motrin, and she had lost 1/2 pound from not eating that well the past few days). We were sent to have chest x rays and bloodwork done to see if she has pneumonia. I tell ya, it's always something. Just as she starts to have a few good weeks, something hits her and we're back to not eating or drinking and losing weight. Uggh! But, God is faithful and is control of her little life, so I rest and find peace in that. He's never let her "fall" before beyond what she can handle!! But, back to her 18 mo. appt., things looked great and I was so thankful to hear her dr. say she was mostly pleased (she does want her to get on the growth chart asap) with her health overall!
